Being seen a boy
I had better access
To the expression of knowledge
Than I would have had
Had I been seen a girl
Early on
Though losing myself
In experimentation
The little knowledge I had
Was not in place
Had I been gone
Missing out
Had I been born
To be seen a girl
I would maybe not be so confident
With the little I know
Nor as assured
Of who I am
I cannot know either option
For all I know
Is so little
A world to show
And carry on
Dearly, to you.
